Hopefully we’re are all aware of the sun’s ability to seriously damage our skin. If not, surprise! The sun is a flaming monster ball. That temporary tan you look forward to all year may not be worth the risks…
During the summer it’s so nice to hang out outside. You know what else is nice? Protecting yourself! Sunscreen is an important part of your skincare regimen. Block those harmful rays, the higher the SPF the better!

Physicians Formula Tinted Moisturizer
Tinted moisturizers are great for the summer because they’re lightweight and they’re hydrating. A tinted moisturizer will not give you the same results as a foundation will, but it will give you a nice glow and some lighter coverage. This Physicians Formula product is awesome because it’s oil free and it contains SPF 50! Awesome protection!
Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Foundation
This SPF 15 foundation is perfect for those of us who need a little more coverage. This product will last you 12 hours of full-coverage and it is extremely lightweight. It contains Amazonian clay that provides a beautiful matte finish. PS: Ashley, our product review guru, uses this product on the daily and absolutely adores it.
Shiseido UV Protective Liquid Foundation
This is a lightweight liquid foundation containing SPF 42. BAM! This is a super popular product. It’s so lightweight and leaves a matte, yet brilliant finish. Shake this product before using it for best results. This product is popular for good reason! It’s perfect for summer.
NARS Cosmetics Beauty Moisturize Radiance Primer
This is an SPF 35 primer product. WOAH. This is a protective primer that you can apply on its own, or before your foundation. Wearing this primer will help your foundation last much longer than it would on its own. This product is also oil free, perfect for summer!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Primer
This product is a primer containing SPF 15. Wear this primer by itself or under foundation. It’s silky and lightweight. This primer will help your makeup stay on longer and go on more smoothly. Perfect for summer and pretty inexpensive as well!
