How I Got the Body I Wanted?

Woman Stretching

Before I start, just so you know, it is not easy for me to talk about this, cause I am not proud of how I looked before. But I am proud of myself for deciding to change what I could. I decided to share this story with you, because you are not alone and there is always a way out.

It’s ok to be who you are and you have the right to feel good in your skin and there is no reason to feel ashamed of your body. I needed some time to figure it out and to get my confidence back. So, how I got the body I wanted?

The Story Behind the Body

Since I was a kid, I loved to eat. I wasn’t picky, I ate everything my mom made, but I also loved fruits and vegetables, as I do still. But, one day, I lost a really close family member, which was the reason for me to stay at home. I didn’t go out a lot, I preferred to stay at home and read books. That’s how I gained weight. Not 3 or 4 kilos, but 15. And one day it occurred to me that it is time to change something.

Slowly, I started to educate myself about losing weight, how to do it in a healthy way. Without tablets and things that people are selling for weight loss all over the world. I believed that there is another way to do it. And there is! Just, follow the needs of your body. That’s what I did and how my journey began.

Different Lifestyle

So, during that period of finding the best healthy way for me to lose weight, I found some things that helped me a lot. First of all, I started drinking water a lot more than I used to (around 2l a day). I also changed my morning routine. I started getting up early in the morning and doing yoga. That’s the practice I do every day since. If I don’t have time to do yoga, I do morning stretching and I just can’t imagine my day without it.

Next thing I changed was my breakfast routine. I started making homemade cereals and smoothies , which gives me a lot of energy for the day. I gave up eating bread and pastries, and I also try to avoid sweets as much as I can. Instead, I eat fruits more.

That’s not all. Every time I have some spare time I go to the gym and do aerobic, pilates or running. It keeps me energized, healthy and active.

At the end, as a result, I can say that I am proud of myself for losing around 20 kilos and gaining confidence. I’ve never felt better and been happier.

The truth you need to know is that it won’t happen overnight. It took me months to get where I am today, but it was worth it! It takes time, it’s not easy, but don’t give up!
